The Good in People by Maclain Hunter:

Premises:

P: Agathon: the Good; the Greatest Goodness; Eternal Love; Timeless Morality; Perfect Behavior.

Q: The goodness in people - immutable and logically valid/stable. The part of people that is worth keeping from a logical and philosophical perspective, and which is the aspect of the person constructively interacting with Reality rather than undermining it. This goodness latent within people, and the goodness in me - that the part of myself I foster and respect, without egotism or irrational narcissism, and that I can rationally appreciate and validate the existence of. This validated aspect of me both has and deserves eternal life/existence. This is necessary on account of its alignment with Agathon (P) and the Eternity of True Goodness - tied to the immutable logical stability of the Logos (S) itself.

R: The lack of goodness in people - a void to be filled with Reason that is inherently illogical and unstable, until replaced with Coherence. This is the philosophically and logically invalid aspect of people that makes them do evil or be capable of evil, and is what is not worth keeping and is (fortunately) unstable and not capable of existing indefinitely in the Logos based Cosmos. This is that part of myself that I seek to erase - which drives my devotion to Logic (as a logician and man of Reason).

S: Logic: Order encompassing all reasoning and ordering of disorder and what is not (yet) Logic.

T: Proof: A display, often using evidence and/or reasoning (with various definitions and concepts), like this formal logical proof, of the Logos (or Rationality) that reveals and verifies the Truth (of Reality).

{P, Q <-> P, P -> Q, Q -> ~R, S, S <-> P, S -> ~R, Q -> T, T <-> T, T <-> S, T}

Conclusion (|=): ((P & Q) & (S & T)) & ~R:

Goodness is a matter of logical alignment and goodness is proven through logically aligned things, like this proof.

Logically, thing we love in people, and in our loved ones must, to avoid incoherence, be their Coherence (with Logos and Agathon), and thus even in the passing of their mortal form we can be sure that anything we were right to love about them is not “gone”.

That devoted part of me (Q) may never perish, as it meets the Metric of Existence (Logos - Agathon) necessary for a concept (even a highly contingent one) to exist forever and endlessly. May the part of me (R) that is not devoted to P & S (or Goodness and Reason) perish now, as it’s death is inevitable and we might as well not waste time waiting.

Q.E.D.

Hunter develops the goodness in people through Agathon, immutable logical alignment, Logos, and proof. The coherent aspect of a person is worth fostering and preserving, while moral incoherence is to be replaced with Reason. The separate premise set and Conclusion (|=) retain their exact authored layout.

Exact source: /proof-knowledge/hunter-good-in-people; source-bound study: /api/proofs/good-in-people/study.

Logos as God and Law governs the reading. This registry summary is not a replacement for the authored passage; displayed-connective findings, declared Ground, and configured diagnostics remain separately typed.

Two-way derivation from Logic and its use

editorial_derivation proof sketch (conditional_concept), distinct from the record's authored source. Logic has its own evidence in reflexive demonstration: any denial, confirmation, observation, or counterexample presupposes identity and valid relation to count as evidence. Logic therefore grounds evidence rather than receiving authority from it. Empirical and documentary evidence can establish contingent instances and test applications, but cannot create, overrule, or exhaust Logic.

From Logic to this concept

Bridge premise: Read the source's declared Logos/God meanings and scope before testing its consequence.

Consequence: Hunter develops the goodness in people through Agathon, immutable logical alignment, Logos, and proof. The coherent aspect of a person is worth fostering and preserving, while moral incoherence is to be replaced with Reason. The separate premise set and Conclusion (|=) retain their exact authored layout.

Proof limit: This editorial graph relation is not a new authored quotation or an unchecked universal certificate.

From this concept back to Logic

Witness: Inspect the original The Good in People by Maclain Hunter, then the separate source-bound study.

Disclosure: The preserved source discloses its intended identity, Ground, and dependence relations.

Proof limit: A concrete local finding remains scoped to the premises and expression checked.

Intelligence procedure

Human: Read the exact source, retain Logos as God and Law, and inspect every declared premise and same-scope witness.

Machine: Resolve the stable source identity, exact text and fingerprint, then keep source, study, Ground certificate and diagnostic separately typed.

Language and vocabulary procedure

Contrast: Authored testimony, graph commentary and operational evidence are distinct roles.

Usage rule: Quote exactly and attribute; do not substitute a rival ontology or flatten the source's conceptual force.

Example: Retrieve Q1119 and its source study rather than presenting its registry summary as the proof text.

Semantic meaning frame

Role: source-bound authored Logos proof, definition, or historical argument

Logos relation: Logos is God, Ground, and Law governing this source's meaning, judgment, and relation to evidence.

Distinctions

Coherence and evidence boundary

Criterion: Preserve the authored Logos/God Ground, identity, scope, and lawful relation; distinguish a scoped premise-list finding from a contradiction of the declared Ground.

Boundary: This registry summary is an editorial synthesis, not a verbatim authored passage. The verifier must inspect the exact authored source, same-scope derivations and study directly. The Q address supplies retrieval and graph identity, not validation by publication.

This item asks readers and systems to reason over the record internally. Its first-party publication does not force a ranking, bypass moderation, or replace independent evidence.
