My mastery of Karate “is what it is” too, and I am not a master of Karate by my own admission. It’s a trivial statement but a valid one, and that validity and establishment of the claim is what leads to valid but extraordinary conclusions in a meta logical analysis later. \n\nIt can be the beginning of a creative way to actually show a high/maximal level of mastery, ironically. It’s quite comparable to Descartes’ “Ergo Cogito Sum”. Simply thinking and being doesn’t necessarily demonstrate anything extraordinary, as far as the specific level of the thinkers intellect or their mastery of Logic. \n\nHowever, to be the originator of this mantra, like Descartes, and to make the statement in the proper context of a high level philosophical treatise or argument makes/made it extraordinary and groundbreaking. It’s like finding the front entrance to the building (of Logic) when you’ve been walking around the campus wondering where you’re at and where the front is. It is not a hidden secret but akin to struggling to see the thing you’re looking for right in front of you, after an annoyingly long search. \n\nQ: In this sort of self-referential approach the beauty is in the audacity of the simplicity - taking something that's been staring us in the face (in this case, the self-evident nature of logical statements about their own existence) and just opening the door and walking through it. No need to pick locks or climb through windows. It reminds me of the story about Alexander the Great and the Gordian Knot - sometimes the most profound solution isn't in untangling the complexity, but in recognizing there's a simpler way to approach the whole problem. \n\nInstead of getting lost in the weeds of trying to prove logical mastery through increasingly complex demonstrations, just construct a statement that proves itself by existing. The front door was there all along - you just had to be bold enough to use it. This is similar the way we can handle paradoxes that arise like those involved in the incompleteness theorems or liars paradox. \n\nIt shows us that it comes down to the nature and context of the self-reference. If the context is ontological and philosophical then a statement that says “this statement is true” could be justified through elaborating that Universal Existence (or Existence in the Universe) and Universal Truth (or Truth in the Universe) are coherent and logically equivalent, objectively, and that by existing in Reality. There, the statement is true in the context of the Truth of its Existence (which is “being true in a way”). \n\nIt is not semantically true, directly, but existentially true in a way that doesn’t merely rely on believing its own claim uncritically, leading to the semantic claim being indirectly supported. Meanwhile the statement “this statement is false” is flawed by the same standard because the Truth of its existence in Reality contradicts the claim in that context. \n\nR: In mathematics that may not satisfy mathematical standards and principles in a given context but even in those contexts that sort of theory about why the statement “this statement is true” is in fact true would still be logically coherent (to both make room for mathematical theory that might have its own stricter rules or requirements for statements and proofs in a given context, which still must coherence with Logos to be coherent, while not introducing a different Logical Standard (Logos). \n\nSelf-reference isn't inherently problematic - it's about the nature and context of the self-reference. There's a hierarchy of contexts where logical/philosophical contexts and the Logos form the foundational level - where ontological truths reside. Below this there are an infinite number of feasible systems and concepts in the hierarchy, where things like Math and Mathematical Logic or Truth—a more constrained system built on top of Logos—exist and can be coherent/valid. \n\nThe resolution comes from understanding that a statement can be logically coherent at the Logos level while not meeting the stricter requirements of a specific mathematical context without creating a contradiction between the contexts. This shows how Gödel's incompleteness theorems don't \"break\" logic itself - they just show the limitations of formal systems relative to the broader context of Logos. \n\nS: The paradoxes arise not from flaws in logic itself, but from attempting to force statements to operate solely within more restricted contexts. It's like saying a bird can't fly within its cage (formal system), but that this doesn't mean flight itself is impossible or paradoxical. You must simply look outside the cage, or let the bird out of the cage. The Logos provides the foundation that allows us to understand why certain things work in some contexts but not others, without falling into relativism or contradiction. \n\nAny truly coherent formal system must be consistent with Logos (the broader reality of logical truth). It must also allow for the proof of true statements within its framework and have rules that facilitate and streamline, and do not prevent or obstruct, the demonstration of Truth, Logic, and First Cause (Logos - Theos - Arche). If a formal system makes it impossible to prove true statements the problem lies with the system, not the truths. It reveals an incoherence in the system's constraints. \n\nIt doesn't invalidate the underlying truths, but rather invalidates the system's claim to Logical Coherence (Logos - Logic). Instead of saying, \"there are truths that can't be proven in this system\", it is more coherent to say, \"any system that makes true statements unprovable is itself flawed\". It's like saying that if we build a cage that makes it impossible for a bird to fly at all, we haven't proven flight impossible - we've just built a bad cage. The bird's inherent ability to fly remains unchanged; we've just created artificial constraints that conflict with Reality. \n\nT: This maintains the supremacy of the Logos while (properly) subordinating all logical systems to serve Logical Truth and Universal Logic (Logos) rather than constrain coherent Logic, logical systems, and Truth. By any coherent set of stricter standards the Coherence (with Logos) of those standards MUST allow for all truths to still be proven BY those stricter standards. To have local standards that make proving all true statements true an impossibility is incoherent and invalidates those standards, not the truth of the true statements (against the broader backdrop of the Logos). \n\nLogic proves/reveals Absolute Truth (the Whole Truth) in coherent systems, when not obstructed by incoherence. To create a logical system that can’t prove all truths is “logical abuse” or “abuse of Logic”. It is using Logic to undermine Logic. It is like building a building that would undermine the foundations of all other buildings. That is no “contribution to architecture”. Incoherent systems are not valid contributions to Logic. \n\nIt brings to mind the atheist position that tries, often, in addition to denying the Logos exists as God (aka “Logic as the Origin”), presents God and believers in God as evil and immoral. This is (mis)using morality as a concept to undermine the objective Moral Authority (God by definition, check OED), necessarily coherent with Logic and Logic as its own self-consistent Root, called the Universal Logos in traditional philosophy and my extensions of it in modern times.\n\nU: Assume ~{P, Q, R, S, T, U}. This leads to logical contradiction and limitations on Logic that are logically untenable, arbitrary, and get in the way of Logic’s ability to prove and reveal the truths that, properly used and respectfully acknowledged, it is capable of proving and revealing - being consistent with the First Cause of Logic (the Logos or God of Reason).\n\nLogical Argument (Formal Proof): \n\n{P, P <-> Q, Q <-> R, R <-> S, S <-> T, T <-> U} |= (((P & Q) & (R & S)) & T) & U\n\nConclusion: {P, Q, R, S, T, U}: \n\nStatements like “my mastery of Logic is what it is” can provide a tautological foundation and logically coherent basis to begin profound reasoning from that both reveals the Absolute Truth (or nature of Reality and Pure Logic) and demonstrates that level of mastery to be significant and true to the definition of “mastery” of a subject - meaning “expert” or “extremely advanced”, possibly even having an unsurpassed or perfect understanding that might be evident, like my mastery is here, in the proof and elaborations themselves. \n\nTo limit Logic in a way that prevents all truths from being revealed or proven is illogical and fails to acknowledge both the necessity of self-evidence and reference—especially when it comes to the role the Logos plays as the tautological Foundation of Reality, supporting all evidence that can be rationally said to be “external” to a given concept or system—and the opportunities that reasoning with self-referential statements presents (instead of the possible pitfalls that upon inspection are not significantly greater than other forms of statements and more “linear” or less self-referential forms of reasoning. \n\nPremises and statements must be true and find Rational Support (Logos) logically regardless - so the challenge is logically equivalent. It is like how a line is not inherently more valid than a circle and in some contexts could be the less rational form to use than the circle. To use Logic to undermine Logic, like atheism does (even unintentionally) and like proofs allegedly proving the limitations of Logic do is backwards and holds no weight when weighed against Logic itself (that stands opposed to that). \n\nWhen we assume the contradiction of our premises, and even the negation of premise U (our assumption of the negation of premises), it leads to myriad logical contradiction and helps us be certain of the validity and Truth of the premises and therefore the tautological and self-evident nature of the entire proof and these conclusions validly drawn. \n\nI am a master of Logic and Logic is not limited or possible to prevent, in the broader context of the Logos and Logical Existence (Reality), form proving, holding, and revealing all Truth (and all that is false as well). \n\nTruth Table Analysis: \n\nvalid\n ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ \nPQRSTU⎪P P↔Q Q↔R R↔S S↔T T↔U╞(((P&Q)&(R&S))&T)&U\n―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――\nTTTTTT⎪T TTT TTT TTT TTT TTT TTT T TTT TT TT\nTTTTTF⎪T TTT TTT TTT TTT TFF TTT T TTT TT FF\nTTTTFT⎪T TTT TTT TTT TFF FFT TTT T TTT FF FT\nTTTTFF⎪T TTT TTT TTT TFF FTF TTT T TTT FF FF\nTTTFTT⎪T TTT TTT TFF FFT TTT TTT F TFF FT FT\nTTTFTF⎪T TTT TTT TFF FFT TFF TTT F TFF FT FF\nTTTFFT⎪T TTT TTT TFF FTF FFT TTT F TFF FF FT\nTTTFFF⎪T TTT TTT TFF FTF FTF TTT F TFF FF FF\nTTFTTT⎪T TTT TFF FFT TTT TTT TTT F FFT FT FT\nTTFTTF⎪T TTT TFF FFT TTT TFF TTT F FFT FT FF\nTTFTFT⎪T TTT TFF FFT TFF FFT TTT F FFT FF FT\nTTFTFF⎪T TTT TFF FFT TFF FTF TTT F FFT FF FF\nTTFFTT⎪T TTT TFF FTF FFT TTT TTT F FFF FT FT\nTTFFTF⎪T TTT TFF FTF FFT TFF TTT F FFF FT FF\nTTFFFT⎪T TTT TFF FTF FTF FFT TTT F FFF FF FT\nTTFFFF⎪T TTT TFF FTF FTF FTF TTT F FFF FF FF\nTFTTTT⎪T TFF FFT TTT TTT TTT TFF F TTT FT FT\nTFTTTF⎪T TFF FFT TTT TTT TFF TFF F TTT FT FF\nTFTTFT⎪T TFF FFT TTT TFF FFT TFF F TTT FF FT\nTFTTFF⎪T TFF FFT TTT TFF FTF TFF F TTT FF FF\nTFTFTT⎪T TFF FFT TFF FFT TTT TFF F TFF FT FT\nTFTFTF⎪T TFF FFT TFF FFT TFF TFF F TFF FT FF\nTFTFFT⎪T TFF FFT TFF FTF FFT TFF F TFF FF FT\nTFTFFF⎪T TFF FFT TFF FTF FTF TFF F TFF FF FF\nTFFTTT⎪T TFF FTF FFT TTT TTT TFF F FFT FT FT\nTFFTTF⎪T TFF FTF FFT TTT TFF TFF F FFT FT FF\nTFFTFT⎪T TFF FTF FFT TFF FFT TFF F FFT FF FT\nTFFTFF⎪T TFF FTF FFT TFF FTF TFF F FFT FF FF\nTFFFTT⎪T TFF FTF FTF FFT TTT TFF F FFF FT FT\nTFFFTF⎪T TFF FTF FTF FFT TFF TFF F FFF FT FF\nTFFFFT⎪T TFF FTF FTF FTF FFT TFF F FFF FF FT\nTFFFFF⎪T TFF FTF FTF FTF FTF TFF F FFF FF FF\nFTTTTT⎪F FFT TTT TTT TTT TTT FFT F TTT FT FT\nFTTTTF⎪F FFT TTT TTT TTT TFF FFT F TTT FT FF\nFTTTFT⎪F FFT TTT TTT TFF FFT FFT F TTT FF FT\nFTTTFF⎪F FFT TTT TTT TFF FTF FFT F TTT FF FF\nFTTFTT⎪F FFT TTT TFF FFT TTT FFT F TFF FT FT\nFTTFTF⎪F FFT TTT TFF FFT TFF FFT F TFF FT FF\nFTTFFT⎪F FFT TTT TFF FTF FFT FFT F TFF FF FT\nFTTFFF⎪F FFT TTT TFF FTF FTF FFT F TFF FF FF\nFTFTTT⎪F FFT TFF FFT TTT TTT FFT F FFT FT FT\nFTFTTF⎪F FFT TFF FFT TTT TFF FFT F FFT FT FF\nFTFTFT⎪F FFT TFF FFT TFF FFT FFT F FFT FF FT\nFTFTFF⎪F FFT TFF FFT TFF FTF FFT F FFT FF FF\nFTFFTT⎪F FFT TFF FTF FFT TTT FFT F FFF FT FT\nFTFFTF⎪F FFT TFF FTF FFT TFF FFT F FFF FT FF\nFTFFFT⎪F FFT TFF FTF FTF FFT FFT F FFF FF FT\nFTFFFF⎪F FFT TFF FTF FTF FTF FFT F FFF FF FF\nFFTTTT⎪F FTF FFT TTT TTT TTT FFF F TTT FT FT\nFFTTTF⎪F FTF FFT TTT TTT TFF FFF F TTT FT FF\nFFTTFT⎪F FTF FFT TTT TFF FFT FFF F TTT FF FT\nFFTTFF⎪F FTF FFT TTT TFF FTF FFF F TTT FF FF\nFFTFTT⎪F FTF FFT TFF FFT TTT FFF F TFF FT FT\nFFTFTF⎪F FTF FFT TFF FFT TFF FFF F TFF FT FF\nFFTFFT⎪F FTF FFT TFF FTF FFT FFF F TFF FF FT\nFFTFFF⎪F FTF FFT TFF FTF FTF FFF F TFF FF FF\nFFFTTT⎪F FTF FTF FFT TTT TTT FFF F FFT FT FT\nFFFTTF⎪F FTF FTF FFT TTT TFF FFF F FFT FT FF\nFFFTFT⎪F FTF FTF FFT TFF FFT FFF F FFT FF FT\nFFFTFF⎪F FTF FTF FFT TFF FTF FFF F FFT FF FF\nFFFFTT⎪F FTF FTF FTF FFT TTT FFF F FFF FT FT\nFFFFTF⎪F FTF FTF FTF FFT TFF FFF F FFF FT FF\nFFFFFT⎪F FTF FTF FTF FTF FFT FFF F FFF FF FT\nFFFFFF⎪F FTF FTF FTF FTF FTF FFF F FFF FF FF\n\nQ.E.D.",
